There are some basic requirements for all positions, regardless of level or scope:

  • All applicants must pass a drug screen as a condition of hire, or must have documentation of a previous passed test within 2 months of hire date.
  • All applicants must pass a standard background check. If there is a concern on your report, you will have the opportunity to explain, but it may limit your suitability for some roles (e.g. Client-facing, remote, or onsite work)
  • All remote or onsite roles require a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) for the prior 5 years, and you must maintain a clean record while employed by Twisted Js LLC.

Remote Roles

  • Contract Remote Technician (POS)
    • A CRT is required to go onsite to perform various repairs, installations, and swaps of POS hardware, peripherals, and cabling.
    • This position requires at least 1 year of experience in the IT support industry, particularly in roles repairing, maintaining, or installing POS systems
    • Use your own vehicle to travel to and from the site, with mileage reimbursement of $0.50 / mile, calculated via Google Maps
    • Pay is $15.00 / hr on 1099 Contractor basis, paid weekly. Mileage is paid separately weekly.
    • Set your hours of availability, with any changes (non-emergency) 48 hours or more in advance.
    • Contractor status can be expected to last 6 months, with option to hire as W2 at the 6 month mark in good status.
    • Basic tool set required (e.g. screw driver set, socket set, hammer, pliers, angle cutters, etc.)
    • Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs, some work may require use of a ladder up to 10′ tall, and ability and willingness to access tight spaces or obstructed areas.
    • Dress code is blank or non-logo polo shirt, long cargo pants or non-jeans work pants, boots with steel toe, good hygiene, and professional demeanor. PPE may be required at some sites (e.g. mask, safety glasses, ear protection, vest, etc.)
    • A well-suited candidate will be a self-starter, able to work with minimal oversight, and be comfortable working as a solo technician or part of a 2-person team
